Business Facade Grants
The City of Arapahoe supports the business community through hosting a business facade grant program through LB840 funds. Local businesses can apply to receive up to 50% of the project cost to support business owners who would like to make improvements to the appearance and quality of their business.
The goal of this project is to strengthen our business district through supporting property owners who are working to renovate the outward appearance of their business.
Applicants must be an Arapahoe based business within Furnas County. They must provide an explanation of the project and associated costs. Projects over $2,500 require two bids. Digital Facade Program
Knowing the importance for local businesses to have a strong online presence, the City of Arapahoe offers the business community a Digital Facade Program. This program will provide up to a $3,000 match to help businesses upgrade their digital presence. The program is meant to be a partnership to provide guidance and financial assistance to help businesses increase their in-store and online revenue. Applications will be reviewed by a committee before being approved and all expenses will be reimbursed with proof of purchase.
Applicants must be an Arapahoe based business within Furnas County. They must provide a comprehensive plan outlining associated costs. The application outlines the three different Digital Facade Program options and is available for download here. Build a Home in Northern Estates
As with many rural communities across Nebraska, there is room for development when it comes to housing options. One option that is unique to Arapahoe is the opportunity to build a home at a reduced cost due to our incentive offers. Arapahoe is looking for individuals who are looking to build their home right here in town.
Conveniently located just blocks from the school, the Northern Estates subdivision has been dedicated to building new homes. This is a unique opportunity in that all lots are FREE if individuals can provide written request and documentation that they are willing to build within 18 months. Low Interest Business Loan
Entrepreneurs looking to find their place in Arapahoe have the opportunity to receive support in their process of getting started. Using LB840 funds, the City of Arapahoe provides individuals the chance to start up their new business or purchase an existing business at an interest rate 50% below the prime interest rate on the date of the loan. The purpose of this program is to allow new individuals to start up and own their new or continued business right here in Arapahoe.
