Prairie Pioneer Days

Prairie Pioneer Days is an annual community celebration on the Fourth of July. It kicks off on the evening of July Third with the Independence Day Picnic followed by a short worship service in the park. On the Fourth of July, there is a parade down Nebraska Avenue, followed by activities and food stands hosted by local organizations in the City Park. The celebration continues into the evening with a barbeque and co-ed softball game, before concluding with a nice fireworks display.

Merry and Bright

Another annual event in Arapahoe is Merry and Bright. During this event each December, businesses host special deals, offer Christmas treats, and people gather as a community to spread cheer. In the evening, there is a Christmas Tree lighting event to top off the Christmas spirit. Merry and Bright, bringing Christmas lights displayed around the community, creates an uplifting environment in Downtown Arapahoe.
