Downtown Revitalization Surveys Now Available

The Arapahoe Downtown Revitalization Planning Project, compelled through a grant from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development and the City of Arapahoe’s LB840 program, used to support local businesses, now asks for anonymous public input on the future of Arapahoe.

Two surveys are currently open and awaiting community admissions. The first is an online, community member and consumer-focused survey aiming to learn the greatest possible impact on economic development. The second online survey, open to business owners located in Arapahoe, works to assist in the development of strategies which will enable us to reach growth goals both short and long term. Your anonymous input will guide the contents of the plan and assist in creation of projects for Arapahoe’s Downtown Revitalization!

The community member and consumer-focused survey remains available online until June 15th, 2021 at growarapahoe.com.

The online business survey remains available until June 22nd, 2021 and is accessible here.

Hard copies of the consumer-focused survey may be picked up at the following businesses: First Central Bank, Arapahoe Medical Clinic, Arapahoe Physical Therapy, and Arapahoe City Office.

We will be holding a Design Studio Open House Event on June 22nd, 2021 from 9 AM-4 PM at the Arapahoe Senior Center. We encourage the community to attend the event (come-and-go, open house format) to meet design professionals who will be on-site and in action, creating concepts based on their professional expertise along with the results from the two surveys. Additionally, there will be a Community Presentation & Walking Tour following the Design Studio from 5:30-7:00 PM on June 22nd, beginning at the Arapahoe Senior Center as well. The design professionals will present their projected plan for the Downtown Revitalization Planning Project based from their work in town.

The Downtown Revitalization Planning Project will result in a two-phased plan that will identify areas of focus that will best support our local businesses and our community over the next 15 years. Additional information can be found on the Arapahoe Economic Development Facebook Page.
