  • May 09 Nice weather is in the forecast. The Splash Pad in the City Park is up and running for the season.
  • May 09 Due to the State Burn Ban the Tree Dump is closed. If you have grass clippings please use the second gate to drop them off.
  • May 06 Service Announcement: The trash truck was full-they are emptying and will return to town. If you have not been dumped yet, please be patient. They are coming back after lunch.
  • Mar 19 NPPD & our City Employees are aware of power outages around town. Many communities are in the same boat. Please be patient. There is currently no timeline for restoration.
  • Mar 13 Due to the high winds and burn ban, the City Tree Dump will be closed until further notice. Call 308-962-4121 with any questions.
  • Feb 18 Due to weather and extreme cold, tonight's City Council meeting has been cancelled for the safety and wellbeing of all.
  • Dec 31 The City of Arapahoe office will be closed January 1st. Have a safe and happy new year!

  • Dec 22 On Tuesday (12/24/25) the landfill closes at noon, so TRASH PICKUP will start earlier than normal. PLEASE have your toters out on Monday night (especially the north part of town).

  • Nov 30 With winter approaching, please remove boats and trailers off the streets. Cars should be moved when it snows for ease of street clearing.
  • Nov 27 The City Office will be closed November 28th & 29th. Happy Thanksgiving!
  • Nov 24 Thanksgiving will affect the pickup schedule for Arapahoe Commercial trash customers normally emptied on Thursdays. Commercial dumpsters will be emptied on Friday, Nov 29th instead.
  • Nov 15 Just a reminder to downtown businesses as we head into the winter months. Please continue to ONLY use sand on our new concrete. The City workers will be bringing around buckets of sand to downtown businesses soon.
  • Nov 08 The City Office will be closed Monday, November 11th in observance of Veteran's Day.
  • Oct 24 The Goodwill Trailer will be at the Ella Missing Building from today until noon next Wednesday, October 30th.
  • Aug 20 The new trash carts are starting to be distributed. Please continue to use our current trash services until the end of the month. The new service will start September 3rd.
