Dec 03 South Central Sanitation has requested that ALL boxes be broken down before placing any dumpsters. Please help keep costs down with this simple task.
Nov 29 It is slick out. Be careful while you enjoy Merry & Bright Festivities. Downtown Businesses are OK to use ice melt on the sidewalks.
Oct 06 Wednesday 10/8/25 there will be a planned city wide power outage starting at 6:30 pm. It should last approximately 30 minutes.

Oct 02	It is never too early to start preparing. The City of Arapahoe would appreciate if all campers, boats, trailer, etc. were removed from the city streets in preparation for winter.

Jul 09	Holbrook/Edison/Arapahoe Night at the Furnas County Fair is Thursday the 17th. More volunteers are NEEDED or the carnival will have to shut down early. PLEASE consider helping out. Contact Erick Lee.

Jun 04 Please be away there will be a short electrical outage this morning on Cedar Street while a pole is replaced.
May 27 NO trees in TREE PIT while burning. Trees are to go in West Lot ONLY. Thank you.
May 09 Nice weather is in the forecast. The Splash Pad in the City Park is up and running for the season.
May 09 Due to the State Burn Ban the Tree Dump is closed. If you have grass clippings please use the second gate to drop them off.

May 06	Service Announcement: The trash truck was full-they are emptying and will return to town. If you have not been dumped yet, please be patient. They are coming back after lunch.

Mar 19	NPPD & our City Employees are aware of power outages around town. Many communities are in the same boat. Please be patient. There is currently no timeline for restoration.

Mar 13 Due to the high winds and burn ban, the City Tree Dump will be closed until further notice. Call 308-962-4121 with any questions.
Feb 18 Due to weather and extreme cold, tonight's City Council meeting has been cancelled for the safety and wellbeing of all.
